How to fix sound problem in windows 10

In oder to fix the sound issue in Windows 10 try the following steps:

  1. First click on sound icon on the bottom right to see if that is mute.
  2. If Icon is mute uncheck and try again. If not then proceed to next step 
  3. Click on Start ->  Type in Device Manager, and select it from the list of results. 
  4. Under the Sound, video and game controllers section ,select the sound card
  5. Open the panel -> Select the Driver tab, and click on Update Driver. 
  6. In case Windows doesn't find a new driver, look for driver on device manufacturer's website and proceed as instructed. If no solution then move to next step
  7. Uninstall the audio driver Restart the device, Now once the device restarts Windows 10 will attempt to reinstall the driver. If it works great if it does not then try it with generic drivers
  8. Open Device Manager -> right-click (or tap and hold) your audio driver -> Update driver software -> Browse my computer for driver software -> Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer. Select High Definition Audio Device, select Next, and follow the instructions to install it
